Walk Inside the Ballpark

The walk is held inside Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. You enter through the 3rd Base Gate and leave through the Right Field Gate.

It is a shorter, untimed route. Nobody is racing, there is no clock, and there is no pace to keep up with. Come as you are, and bring whoever you want with you.

Two Waves, Late Morning

The walk steps off in two waves late in the morning, once the 5K has finished. You are given your wave when you check in.

We are expecting a big crowd, and if you miss your wave you may not make it into the ballpark. Give yourself time to park, collect your credentials at the Check-In Desk and get to the 3rd Base Gate.

Free, and Everyone Registers

The walk is the free part of the day, and everyone joining us needs a registration, children included.

Registering and checking in is how we take care of our guests. It tells us how many of you to expect along the route, at the water stations and at the food trucks.

Bring the Whole Family

Senior drop-off is at the Red Deck, where our volunteers help where they can, with a limited number of wheelchairs to check out first come, first served. The Seniors Circle sits right in the middle of the action rather than off to the side, close to the restrooms and the water and snack station.

For the children, the 100 Yard Kids Dash runs on Battery Avenue in three age groups, and the CHOA Children’s Park brings a home run derby, batting cages, a rock-climbing tower and lawn games for under-14s. Both are separate registrations, and a parent or guardian supervises in the park.

Make a Day of It

Plenty of our guests come for the whole morning rather than for the walk alone. Two stages of live music and dance, food trucks along a closed-off Battery Avenue, a silent auction, the Immersive 360 experience and mindful yoga on the Plaza Green all run around it.

If you would rather run as well, the 5K is a separate registration and it is the first event of the morning.

Questions We Are Asked

Do we really walk inside the stadium?

Yes. The walk is held inside Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. You will enter through the 3rd Base Gate and exit through the Right Field Gate. The walk is the free part of the day, and it is open to every age and every pace.

Do I have to register if I am only walking?

Yes. The walk is free, but everyone attending needs a registration, including children. Registering and checking in helps us plan for our guests, as it tells us how many people to expect for the route, the water and the food. Thank you for supporting the event and the cause.

Is it accessible, and is there somewhere for older family members?

Yes. Senior drop-off is at the Red Deck, with volunteers helping where they can, and a limited number of wheelchairs available to check out first come, first served. There is a Seniors Circle near the restrooms and the water and snack station, in the middle of the action rather than off to the side.

Where do I park, and what does it cost?

Park in the Red, Green, Yellow or Purple decks at The Battery Atlanta. The Orange and Silver/Delta decks are not available for this event. The first two hours are free. After that The Battery charges by the hour, and rates are set closer to the event, so check batteryatl.com before you come. There is limited metered street parking, and payment is enforced. Each deck has a few EV chargers with contactless payment.
